On the day
Stock that counts itself down.
Build a catalog, decide who gets what, and hand them out at the venue — by QR code or by name. Every pickup is recorded against the guest who took it.
The guest already has a code — it was on their check-in confirmation.

QR pickup needs Venue Check-In on the same plan — without it there is no code to hand out, so pickup falls back to name lookup.
Nothing you do in this demo is saved.
The catalog
Add each souvenir with a photo and a quantity. Stock counts down as guests collect, so you know what's left at any point in the evening.
Deciding who gets what
Assign a souvenir per guest group — family one thing, colleagues another — and it applies to everyone in that group, including guests you add later. No backfilling, no re-tagging.
Any guest can override their group's default, or be set to deliberately none — three different states the picker keeps apart, rather than collapsing “no souvenir” into “not decided yet”.
Handing them out
A guest who checked in at the door is already holding their code — on the confirmation, on their personalized link, reachable any time. The desk scans it and their name, their souvenir and whether they've collected come up at once.
The scanner is a page in the dashboard, so any phone the desk has works. It confirms out loud the instant a code resolves and holds the result for however long you set.
QR pickup depends on check-in: without it there's no moment a guest is ever handed a code, so the option turns itself off and pickup falls back to name lookup.
Or just ask their name
Find the guest, see what they're due, mark it collected. It's the same record either way, so mixing both — scanning most guests, looking up the ones whose phones died — still ends with one clean list.
Pickup state lives on the guest's own row alongside their RSVP and check-in, so the door desk and the souvenir table read one list, not two.

Souvenir Management needs a plan that includes it. QR pickup also needs Venue Check-In — without it there's no code to scan, and pickup falls back to name lookup.
